We’d like nothing better than to welcome you to Fulford

We have a very simple objective at Fulford - to do all we can to make sure that the time you spend with us is a day to remember.

Of course, we’re serious about golf, but not too serious. If you want to come and play, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable, no matter what standard of golfer you are.

Step out of your car and you will have an experience that is typically Fulford. Our Clubhouse, Greens and Professional Teams will help you get the most from your visit and you’ll certainly get a friendly smile and a warm welcome.

One of the best golf courses in Yorkshire

Our course is known worldwide, but we want to be known as much for what YOU will experience as for hosting The European Tour for so many years.

You probably already know that some of the World’s best golfers visited in the 70’s ,80’s and 90’s... some had days to remember and some had days to forget! Come and play the very same holes that challenged those superstars of the game. The course remains in fantastic condition and we’ve recently completed another 5 year plan under the supervision of renowned golf course architect Martin Ebert, who is famous for amongst other things, his recent renovations at Portrush prior to the 2019 Open Championship.

Fulford’s a proper test of golf but it’s also a fair one for golfers of all abilities - remember we want you to have your own day to remember and not a day where you felt like you were forever looking for balls and merely surviving a brutal test of golf!

Our Charles MacKenzie layout switches effortlessly from green parkland to the gorse, heather and wildlife of a heathland links and it’s in great condition all year round. You may be lucky to see truly wild deer roaming across the course or spot our resident barn owls - there’s more than one way to have a day to remember at Fulford.

A Message from our Captain's

" Our promise at Fulford is a day to remember and we thoroughly hope that you play well and enjoy our beautiful course.

We spend a lot of time at the club and you may well recognise us from our Captain's photographs which sit in the Clubhouse. If you do see us please say hello - we really care about your experience and would love to meet you.

Don't forget to take your photograph stood underneath Bernhard's plaque on the infamous tree at the side of the 17th Green!" - Bob Taylor and Sharon Wood (Club Captains)

Conveniently situated

Getting here is really easy as we’re only a couple of miles of the A64. We’re also only 2 miles from the centre of York and so there’s plenty of places to stay if you wanted to make Fulford part of a trip, or play more than once. York is also really well connected by train; there is a half hourly service to London King’s Cross, and the quickest train takes less than 2 hours.

Get in touch and find out about coming to see us and play.
