There are no particularly short par fours at Fulford, and this is one of the many long ones. There is plenty of room off the tee, although more than half of it is light rough. The drive needs to find the gap between two copses, to avoid the need for a conservative recovery. There is serious trouble to the right thereafter. Second shots into the long green are often thrown off line by the diagonal depression in the fairway, so a full carry is ideal. Most players are happy to make five.
